A true multi-instrumentalist, Ro Barrett's most recent albums "Alter Ego" and "Boredom Killer" are examples of the range of Ro's abilities.  He wrote, arranged and produced every song, sang all the vocal parts and played the guitar, piano, bass and keyboard parts too. In contrast, his single (2018) "Looking for Something" is completely raw, unplugged and laid bare.  Recorded live in one take, it shows the years of experience as a solo performer while Ro was "cutting his teeth" in small venues in the UK and Europe.

Having first learned the guitar and piano at an early age, Ro began earning money from music aged just 14 as a bassist in his father's band, gigging at venues all over the midlands.

At 17, Ro joined the Royal Engineers and over the years saw service in the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, always accompanied by his trusty guitar of course. When not on his travels, he spent time working with various artists, bands and music projects including: Quadrangle, Teezer, Liv-It, Zounina, Ben's Party Musical, Soul Cafe, Nina Fischer, Jo Desmond, Zebra, The Sarah O'Brien Band, The Chilli Fighters, Electric Fougasse and The Boogie Wonderland Disco Explosion. to name but a few.

The events and experiences in Ro's life have always helped provide the inspiration he needs to write songs. An experienced artist, he has hundreds of gigs under his belt having performed at festivals, clubs, pubs, theatres and studios across the UK and Europe.

In addition to music, Ro is a car enthusiast and racing driver competing in club races around the UK, and a passionate supporter of animal welfare charities such as Animals Asia and the RSPCA.
